Itinerary Summary

DAY 1: Paris 2/17

DAY-1
The Louvre Visit

The Musée du Louvre or officially Grand Louvre – in English, the Louvre Museum or simply the Louvre – is one of the world’s largest museums, the most visited art museum in the world and a historic monument. A central landmark of Paris, it is located on the Right Bank of the Seine in the 1st arrondissement (district). Nearly 35,000 objects from prehistory to the 19th century are exhibited over an area of 60,600 square metres (652,300 square feet).

The museum is housed in the Louvre Palace (Palais du Louvre) which began as a fortress built in the late 12th century under Philip II. Remnants of the fortress are still visible. The building was extended many times to form the present Louvre Palace. In 1682, Louis XIV chose the Palace of Versailles for his household, leaving the Louvre primarily as a place to display the royal collection, including, from 1692, a collection of antique sculpture. In 1692, the building was occupied by the Académie des Inscriptions et Belles Lettres and the Académie Royale de Peinture et de Sculpture, which in 1699 held the first of a series of salons. The Académie remained at the Louvre for 100 years. During the French Revolution, the National Assembly decreed that the Louvre should be used as a museum, to display the nation’s masterpieces.

Eiffel Tower Visit

Come and discover the Eiffel Tower in a journey to the clouds like none other in the world. You’ll be swept away by emotions and adrenaline, from the esplanade to the top, whether day or night! The Eiffel Tower welcomes visitors every day, including in the evening. At nightfall, it lights up and sparkles every hour until closing time arrives, when it turns off. To visit the floors of the Eiffel Tower – there are three: first floor, second floor and the top – visitors can either purchase tickets in advance, from our official online ticket office, or on site the day of their visit, at the ticket office located on the esplanade below the Eiffel Tower. If you wish to simply come and enjoy a stroll beneath the Tower, on the esplanade and in the gardens, access is free. All you need to do is take one of the monument’s two main entrances and go through the security checks.

The Eiffel Tower offers a range of ticket options, to the top (by elevator only, or by elevator then stairs) or to the second floor (by elevator or by stairs). All tickets include access to the lower levels. First, visit the highest level included in your ticket: second floor or top. At the top, which is accessed solely via elevator from the second floor, enjoy the most impressive 360° view of Paris, at a height of 906 feet. At this level, you can also celebrate your experience with a glass of bubbles from the champagne bar. A reconstruction of Gustave Eiffel’s office with wax figures can be seen through portholes. At a height of 381 feet, on the second floor, you have two levels and plenty of space to explore. Contemplate Paris from a range of perspectives, spot its most iconic monuments and buildings, and admire the structure of the Tower above you.

Dinner: A 4-course dinner cruise on the Seine River featuring live music.

Choose from an à la carte menu and enjoy dishes as you go, allowing time for conversation and admiration. Take photos or use your phone to capture the Eiffel Tower’s lights. Enjoy a romantic atmosphere with a piano and violin, and if you’re special, ask staff for special touches. Return to the dock with dessert and coffee for a happy ending.
